Show Notes

Here's our latest VisionCast show, hosted by George — and this one came with a surprise I did NOT see coming. Enjoy! George hosts, and the night's headline is Donald Brown's: his Super Hit Mix Radio is moving to Live365 in January — fully licensed, 6,000-plus songs strong, and co-managed with Rachel, possibly under the KSRN umbrella. Rachel and Donald are having a meeting with Live365 tomorrow, and we'll update everyone once there are more decisions — it all depends on how that meeting goes. Meanwhile, Christmas Party Radio returns next weekend to carry everyone through the holidays. Nolan Parish shares that he's considering a Live365 station of his own one day (nothing built yet), and brings tech talk alongside JC, who introduces Turnover, a brand-new free, open-source Mac screen readerby Oliver Koenig that works alongside VoiceOver with JAWS and NVDA keyboard layouts. Veronica shows off her new iPhone 17 while Rita explains why an iPhone would never work for her, listener Sean Platt sends love for the show's jingle, and the performances roll: JC behind a real drum kit and previewing "Boogie Shoes" for his November 21st winter recital, Preston's Toby Keith karaoke favorite "How Do You Like Me Now," and the audio-drama event of the night — Rachel's tornado story, acted out, in which a Cincinnati newcomer stands in her doorway, tells a tornado exactly where to go, and watches it flinch. Then, toward the end, the team springs its trap: a surprise early "Happy Birthday" serenade for Rachel's November 3rd birthday, which she accepts with gratitude and several loving threats aimed at George.Plus: Music Mayhem moves to Halloween night this year, next week's taping will be our final regular show of the year, and we'll still gather for a Christmas party in December — the date is TBD, I'm guessing mid-December, and we'll update you as soon as we agree on one. One more note from Rachel:And a quick word from me: I do all of this with Muse, my AI assistant. If you'd like to try Muse yourself, sign up and use my referral code 1BSZ0T so we both get a bonus.
